Dr. Anne McDaniel is Associate Vice President for Academic Partnership and Career Success. Dr. McDaniel came to Ohio State to lead research and assessment efforts for the Office of Student Life in 2013, first as Associate Director and later as Executive Director of the Center for the Study of Student Life. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests include gender, racial and socioeconomic inequalities in higher education, especially as they relate to student experiences and success. Anne received her Bachelor's, Masters and PhD in Sociology from Ohio State and was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University.
Dr. McDaniel supports the Student Life career support team, the Center for the Study of Student Life, the Second-year Transformational Experience Program (STEP), graduate and professional student programs and services and programs that advance students' digital engagement.
