Associate Professor and Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education

Dr. Daniel López-Cevallos serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Associate Professor of Ethnic Studies at Oregon State University (OSU). He collaborates with college leadership and faculty to improve curricular and co-curricular learning and success, towards a transformative education that is accessible to all learners. In that capacity, he provides strategic leadership and oversight of Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and the Arts, the STEM Leaders Program, and the Undergraduate Student Success Steering Committee. In addition, Daniel serves as liaison with Air Force, Army, and Navy/Marines ROTC units, and provides principal counsel to the Vice Provost of Academic Affairs to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate undergraduate academic initiatives. His research & evaluation work focuses on the intersections of race/ethnicity, gender, class, and other socioeconomic and sociocultural constructs, and their relationship to health and health care issues. He earned his PhD in Public Health at OSU, and MPH and BS degrees from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. You can find more information about his work here.
