

Tomikia LeGrande
Tomikia LeGrande, Ed.D., serves as vice president for strategy, enrollment management and student success at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA), where she leads strategic priorities for the president and provost and oversees the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Success. In this role, she is responsible for fostering the university's commitment to student access and success by actively leading approaches that enrich college access, affordability and student success. An accomplished administrator, Dr. LeGrande has significant experience and expertise in strategic planning, new technology implementation, change management, and policy and business process redesign to improve college access, graduation and student satisfaction rates. At the national level, she has been actively engaged in issues of access, equity, higher education policy and leadership development. In addition to serving as an adjunct professor in higher education leadership, Dr. LeGrande led the development of AACRAO LEAD (Leaders in Enrollment Advancing Diversity), a yearlong leadership program for the American Association for College Registrars and Admissions Officers. The program, which began in 2019, seeks to identify and prepare a diverse group of enrollment professionals for leadership roles. Dr. LeGrande earned a Doctor of Education from Texas Tech University, Master of Science from North Carolina A&T University and Bachelor of Science from Savannah State University.
