Chelsea Noble
Dr. Chelsea Noble is a scholar-practitioner committed to creating more equitable and just higher education institutions. In her role as Project Director for the Listening Lab for Higher Education Transformation, she leads a grant-funded initiative to support campuses as they listen empathetically to students and leverage students’ insights to inform campus change.
Prior to joining the UIA, Chelsea's professional experiences include work in admission, LGBTQ+ resource centers, medical school curriculum change, and multi-institutional STEM innovation networks. She has also served as an adjunct lecturer teaching in multiple higher education and student affairs programs.
Chelsea earned her Ph.D. in higher, adult, and lifelong education from Michigan State University, where her dissertation work focused on how students experience campus LGBTQ+ resource centers and how these centers fit into students’ ecosystems. She also holds a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in French from Bowdoin College.
