

Erika Larson
Erika Larson has over a decade of experience in higher education, with a focus on advancing student success and supporting timely degree attainment. She has long been committed to the role education plays in creating more equitable societies and expanding educational opportunities.
She currently serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success at CU Denver. In this role, she oversees persistence and retention initiatives, student success technologies, and transfer student initiatives and services to improve pathways for learners and timely degree completion. Her professional experience includes academic advising, one-stop student support centers, housing and residential life, community partnerships, experiential learning and curriculum design, giving her a broad perspective on the student experience. Erika’s work integrates data analytics, technological innovations, and holistic approaches to understanding the student experience to better serve students. Her research interests include the application of "nudging" strategies in higher education and the use and misuse of predictive analytics to improve student outcomes
Erika holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the University of Colorado Denver, a Master’s degree in International Education Policy and Management from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.
