Dr. Jodi Bailey currently serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Temple University, where she oversees all aspects of student life, and wraparound services to foster student success. In this role, Jodi has made it her mission to prioritize student retention, persistence, and holistic support through innovative initiatives. Throughout her career, she has led efforts to address critical student needs, such as food insecurity and professional development, by launching programs that provide essential resources like professional attire for career advancement and establishing partnerships to enhance student well-being.

A strong advocate for first-generation students, Jodi has developed nationally recognized programs that foster successful transitions from two-year to four-year degrees and drive student engagement. Her focus on local community partnerships and student-centered strategies has significantly impacted student enrollment and retention.

With experience at large, public institutions, Jodi has consistently contributed to the enhancement of student services, leadership development, and overall student success. She also serves on the executive advisory board for NASPA and has presented and taught at regional and national levels. Her leadership has earned her multiple national awards for outstanding service and program innovation.

Jodi holds a BA in English and Communications, a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, and a Ph.D. in Educational Research and Administration. Her research is centered on the perseverance of first-generation Latino students.
