Katie Linder
Dr. Katie Linder serves as the Interim Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment and Student Success and as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Innovation and Strategy at the University of Colorado Denver. Previously, she served as associate dean for Kansas State University’s Global Campus and directed the award-winning Ecampus Research Unit at Oregon State University. Katie is a Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified Change Practioner through Prosci.
In her roles at CU Denver, Katie focuses on the connectivity between strategy, budget, and metrics to help achieve the institutional strategic plan and increase accountability for institution-wide projects and academic innovations. Her role also focuses on helping CU Denver become a hybrid campus and university for life, while enhancing the university’s ability to meet society’s most pressing educational needs.
Her latest publications include The Blended Course Design Workbook: A Practical Guide, Second Edition (Routledge, 2024) and Going Alt-Ac: A Guide to Alternative Academic Careers (Stylus, 2020; co-authored with Kevin Kelly and Tom Tobin). Katie also edited High-Impact Practices in Online Education (Stylus, 2018) and The Business of Innovating Online (Stylus, 2019).
Katie earned her BA in English Literature from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, and her MA and PhD in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University. In early 2024, she also earned an MS in Organizational Leadership from the American College of Education.
