She began her profession on the front lines with students as a study abroad and international scholar advisor. She later returned to the Office of the President as chief of staff and secretary to the university, before moving into her current role as senior advisor.

During her three-decade tenure at Utah, Laura has advised and assisted five university presidents and two interim presidents and staffed and supported six chairs of the Board of Trustees. She has assisted with executive searches and leadership transitions, served as a central coordinator of major decisions and initiatives across campus, including multiple capital campaigns, and dramatic growth of the school’s physical campus.
